Claims circulating on social media that the 74 kilograms of gold seized from the residence of former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah are fake have been confirmed as false. Authorities stated that the confiscated gold has undergone official verification and was declared authentic.
The clarification follows the spread of online posts alleging that the seized bullion was counterfeit. The rumor gained traction across several social media platforms, prompting law enforcement to issue an official explanation regarding the status of the evidence.
According to Metro Jaya Police spokesperson Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, laboratory testing conducted by PT Pegadaian confirmed that the confiscated gold is genuine. The examination found that the total weight of the seized bullion reached 74.01 kilograms.
Test results showed the gold consists of 23-karat precious metal with a purity level ranging from 95.8% to 98.8%. The findings contradict the viral narrative claiming the evidence was fake and reaffirm the authenticity of the confiscated assets.
Authorities emphasized that the verification process followed standard procedures to ensure the accuracy of evidence handled during the investigation. The official assessment by PT Pegadaian served as the basis for confirming the composition and purity of the gold.
