Indonesian rock band for Revenge has released an original track titled “I Miss You Every Brand New Day” as part of the soundtrack for Sony Pictures’ upcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The song debuted on Tuesday through a collaboration between Sony Pictures and Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia, marking a significant milestone for the Bandung-based group.
The project sees for Revenge translating the emotional journey of Peter Parker into music, offering fans a new perspective on the iconic superhero ahead of the film’s Indonesian theatrical release. The single became available across digital streaming platforms one day before Spider-Man: Brand New Day, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, premieres in Indonesian cinemas.
Lead vocalist Boniex Noer described the opportunity as both a creative challenge and a career highlight. Unlike the band’s usual songwriting process, which is inspired by personal experiences, this project required the group to immerse themselves in the emotions and struggles of Peter Parker.
According to Boniex, portraying the character’s emotional depth through music was an honor, particularly as a longtime Spider-Man fan. He said contributing an original song to one of the world’s most recognizable film franchises was an achievement the band had never imagined.
Inspired by Peter Parker’s Emotional Journey
The song explores themes closely associated with Peter Parker’s story, including longing, loss, and the hope of embracing a new beginning. Boniex explained that the band focused on capturing the emotional side of the character rather than simply creating a promotional soundtrack.
He believes the track reflects universal feelings that resonate beyond the superhero narrative, allowing listeners to connect with the music through their own experiences of heartbreak and renewal.
Collaboration with Indonesian Musicians
To produce the song, for Revenge collaborated with several Indonesian musicians and industry professionals. The recording features Cynantia Pratita as a guest vocalist, while Kamga served as vocal director.
Additional contributions came from musicians Gege Gumilar, Mulia Aprianto, Nadine Arlyanaza, and Luginia Raftiane, who helped shape the final composition.
The collaboration combines the band’s signature alternative rock sound with a cinematic atmosphere designed to complement the emotional tone of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
