Huawei has officially introduced the MatePad Pro Max in Indonesia, expanding its premium tablet lineup with a device designed to enhance productivity through a wide range of artificial intelligence (AI) features, powerful hardware, and PC-like software capabilities.
During the launch event in Jakarta on Wednesday, Huawei highlighted that the MatePad Pro Max is equipped with PC-level WPS Office, enabling users to create and edit documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and PDF files with an interface that closely resembles a laptop experience.
To streamline daily tasks, Huawei has integrated several AI-powered productivity tools into the tablet. These include Smart Create, which can generate documents from simple text prompts, PDF Summarize for quickly extracting key information from PDF files, Generate Slides to transform notes into presentation materials, and Grammar Polish, which refines writing and adjusts its style based on user preferences.
The tablet also features Huawei Notes, enhanced with AI capabilities such as AI Handwriting Enhancement, AI Equation Recognition and Calculation, and Note Replay. These tools automatically transcribe meetings, identify different speakers, and organize important discussions, making the device suitable for professionals, students, and content creators.
Huawei has also introduced Live-Multitask, allowing users to run up to three applications simultaneously on a single screen. The feature is designed to improve workflow efficiency by reducing the need to switch between apps during multitasking.
For creative users, Huawei bundles the GoPaint application, which includes several AI-assisted tools. Features such as Intelligent Colour Card can extract color palettes from reference images, while Splatter Brush and Fluid Brush simulate realistic paint effects. The app also supports basic animation creation from multiple illustrations.
The Huawei MatePad Pro Max is powered by a 10,400mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. It features a 13.2-inch 3K Flexible OLED PaperMatte Display with a resolution of 3000 × 2000 pixels, offering a 94% screen-to-body ratio and ultra-thin 3.55mm bezels for a more immersive viewing experience.
Huawei says the PaperMatte display is engineered to minimize reflections, making it comfortable to use under different lighting conditions. The tablet measures just 4.7mm thick and weighs approximately 509 grams for the PaperMatte Edition, combining portability with a durable full-metal unibody design built on the company’s Huawei Cloud Falcon Architecture.
To complete the ecosystem, Huawei includes accessories such as the Huawei Glide Keyboard with an integrated stylus holder, Huawei M-Pencil Pro, Huawei Mouse, and Folio Cover.
The MatePad Pro Max is available in Blue and Space Gray color options with two storage configurations: 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage.
In Indonesia, the 256GB variant is priced at IDR 19,999,999, while the 512GB model is available for IDR 26,999,999.
As part of a promotional campaign running from July 22 to August 21, 2026, Huawei is offering complimentary accessories and services, including a Huawei Glide Keyboard or Folio Cover, Huawei M-Pencil Pro, Huawei Mouse, a one-year subscription to PC-Level WPS AI, an additional one-year warranty, and up to two PaperMatte display repair services within the first year, depending on the selected model.
