The Indonesian government has reiterated that President Prabowo Subianto remains firmly committed to combating corruption, stressing that ongoing investigations will continue without interference regardless of who is involved. The statement came amid public attention surrounding legal proceedings involving former Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah.

Presidential Communications Advisor Hasan Nasbi said the administration considers the fight against corruption one of the government’s top priorities. According to him, law enforcement agencies have been instructed to carry out investigations professionally and impartially, ensuring that every case proceeds based on evidence and legal procedures rather than political or personal considerations.

Hasan emphasized that the government’s anti-corruption agenda remains unchanged despite recent developments involving senior law enforcement officials. He said President Prabowo has consistently identified corruption as a major obstacle to national development and has pledged to strengthen efforts to eradicate the practice.

Responding to questions about security measures surrounding Febrie, Hasan explained that protection provided to Attorney General’s Office personnel follows existing legal provisions. He referred to Presidential Decree No. 66 of 2025, which authorizes security support from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the National Police (Polri) to ensure prosecutors and investigators can perform their duties without disruption.

The remarks were delivered as authorities continue handling the corruption case that has drawn widespread public scrutiny. Hasan maintained that institutional support for law enforcement should not be interpreted as interference in judicial proceedings, but rather as part of efforts to guarantee the safety of officers conducting investigations.

The government also reaffirmed that no individual is exempt from legal accountability. According to Hasan, the administration’s commitment is to uphold the rule of law while allowing investigators to complete their work independently and transparently.

The latest statement is intended to reassure the public that Indonesia’s anti-corruption campaign will continue regardless of personnel changes or high-profile investigations. As legal proceedings move forward, the government says it expects all institutions involved to uphold professionalism, transparency, and due process to maintain public trust in the country’s justice system.
