Veda Ega Pratama Shines in Hungary Moto3 Practice

Veda’s performance became one of the main highlights on the first day of the Hungary Moto3 series. During the Free Practice 1 session, the young Indonesian rider encountered difficulties adapting to the track characteristics of the Balaton Park Circuit and had to end the session in 26th place—the very bottom of the timesheet.
However, the situation changed drastically during the Practice session held a few hours later. Veda showed a significant performance improvement by continuously bettering his lap times throughout the session. As a result, he managed to record a time of 1 minute 46.296 seconds, securing second place in the Practice standings.
That time was only 0.361 seconds adrift from the fastest rider of the session, Maximo Quiles. Meanwhile, third place was occupied by David Almansa, who also performed competitively throughout the session.
Success in breaking into the top two positions provides a crucial advantage for Veda, as it secures a direct ticket to Q2 without having to go through the initial qualifying session. This result is also a positive indicator that the Indonesian rider is capable of competing with the frontrunners in the Moto3 class.
Veda’s performance in Hungary continues a positive trend that has begun to surface over the last few rounds. Consistency in improving his speed and the ability to adapt to new tracks have been key factors in making his name increasingly recognized in the Moto3 paddock.
The attention of Indonesian racing fans is now focused on the qualifying session taking place on Saturday. A good grid position will be vital capital for Veda to achieve maximum results in the main race held a day later.
With competition growing tighter in Moto3, every session becomes critical in determining the chances of scoring points. Therefore, the Practice results achieved by Veda are seen as a highly promising first step toward the race weekend in Hungary.
Veda Ega Pratama’s resurgence from the bottom position in the initial practice to becoming the second-fastest rider demonstrates his maturing development. Indonesian fans are now eagerly waiting to see if this positive performance can continue into the qualifying session and the main race of the 2026 Hungarian Moto3 Grand Prix.
