President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the price of Indonesia’s natural resources must no longer be determined by other countries. In addition to the mineral and mining sectors, efforts to increase added value are also directed toward agriculture, fisheries, energy, and various other strategic industries.

The government also emphasized the importance of investment, technology transfer, and human resource development to support a sustainable economic transformation.

Indonesia has long been known as one of the countries with vast natural resource reserves, including nickel, bauxite, copper, coal, and various other leading commodities that play a vital role in international markets.

Public policy observers note that the ability to determine the added value of one’s own products will increase Indonesia’s bargaining position in global trade while simultaneously reducing dependence on foreign markets.

Despite facing challenges such as the need for infrastructure, technology, and funding, the government remains optimistic that the strategy of strengthening national industry can drive more inclusive economic growth.
