In the 2026 PPID Sharing forum held at the Ministry of PANRB Office, Rini Widyantini emphasized the importance of information transparency as part of good governance. According to her, the public requires access to clear, fast, and accountable information so that confidence in government policies continues to rise.
Rini explained that public information transparency is a mandate of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Transparency. This regulation obliges every public body to provide transparent information to the public, except for information exempted in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.
On the occasion, the Ministry of PANRB introduced four main strategies to strengthen public communication within the government environment. The first strategy is to improve the quality of information through the presentation of accurate, complete, and constantly updated data so that the public obtains correct information.
The next strategy is to accelerate digital transformation in information dissemination. The use of technology is assessed as capable of expanding the reach of government communication while accelerating the delivery of information to communities in various regions.
In addition, increasing the capacity of state civil apparatuses (ASN) is also a major focus. ASNs are expected to have good communication skills so they can explain various government policies effectively, easily understood, and in accordance with public needs.
The Ministry of PANRB also considers good relations with the mass media and stakeholders as an important factor in creating credible public communication. This collaboration is expected to expand information dissemination while preventing the emergence of disinformation in the digital space.
Rini emphasized that every ASN has a strategic role as a provider of accurate information, a responsible communicator, and a driver of public participation in the development process. The delivery of information must be done ethically, transparently, and based on facts.
The government also continues to encourage the public to actively participate through various grievance channels, including platforms for managing public aspirations and complaints. With more open two-way communication, the government hopes public services can become increasingly responsive to the needs of citizens.
Strengthening public information transparency is an important step in realizing a transparent and accountable government. Through fast, accurate communication, backed by digital transformation and collaboration with the media, the government hopes public trust in public services will continue to increase.
